Students and faculty at Farmingdale State College on Long Island, New York, were shocked when they were told to take shelter, according to ABC 11.  It was thought that there was a gun on the campus, but it turned out to be a toy lightsaber.

The student was not charged or arrested when police found out that the only "weapon" on him was a plastic, fake lightsaber from Star Wars.

It is important that the campus security and police take the safety of the campus seriously, but the poor student must be so embarrassed. He just wanted to carry the green lightsaber on campus and it was mistaken for a gun.
