This College Student Snuck a Dog Into a Hospital for Her Grandma

By Melissa Cordell - Jun 18 2017

Shelby Hennick, 21, snuck her grandmother's dog into the hospital after her grandmother was checked in.

Her grandmother was happily surprised after she initially thought it was Hendrick's little nephew.

Hennick had "no idea" the tweet would get as big as it did. It now has over 134,000 retweets and 551,000 likes. A lot of people on Twitter found this act to be cute and recounted similar experiences.

Hennick has received a lot of backlash, as well.

"I've been getting a lot of negative attention, but I'd still do it all over again," Hennick said. "Not because of all the twitter activity, but because I know it made my grandma and her dog happy to see each other, and I think that's really important."
