We’ve all been told about the dreaded last month of high school, when motivation to do well is at an all time low and senioritis comes to its peak. Others who have survived this catastrophe have warned us time and time again, but things never did seem so incredibly true until they actually happened to us. Moving on and graduating, going on summer vacations, not having to sit in a classroom for seven hours a day...these are the things that cause this last month of school restlessness. But for some of us, it’s become more than just a passing thought. It’s an all encompassing life event. To help get you through this month, here is everything that happens during those thirty-one days, as told by Orange is the New Black characters.
Talking to kids going to your college and getting ready has you finding high school so irrelevant.
Your handwriting is an absolute mess, due to lack of care.
Being late to class has no meaning anymore.
Due to exams, your wardrobe has been reduced to sweats and flip flops.
After AP exams, everyone gets pretty rowdy.
But still, you have to wake up early every morning for an entire month more.
There are the teachers that just give up and show movies...
And then there are the ones that try and make you do actual work.
You keep reminding yourself that in one month, you’ll be done with this all...
And smile, because you’ll never have to see most of these kids again.
But still you’re emotional, going to all of your lasts and senior events.
Because though you’re psyched to graduate, you realize that your world is about to change...
And you cannot wait.
