On March 24, 2018, a march organized by the students of Majory Stoneman Douglas High School took place in Washington D.C., with sister marches all around the world, called #MarchForOurLives. This movement was created by Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg, Sarah Chadwick and other survivors of the Parkland shooting who have emerged as activists in recent weeks. They dedicated the movement to the seventeen victims who lost their lives in Parkland.  During the march, activists brought a wide range of posters to call attention to the issue of gun violence within our nation.
