For the third year in a row, a Long Island high school student has been accepted to all eight Ivy League schools. The first of those was Kwasi Enin, then a student at William Floyd High School. Last year, it was Elmont Memorial High School student Harold Ekeh. Now, Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, also from Elmont, joins them in being accepted into all eight Ivy League schools. It's as if Long Island breeds excellence.

According to Time, Augusta was also admitted to MIT, Johns Hopkins, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and NYU. She is valedictorian of her class and has a 101.64 weighted GPA. She credits "the hardworking ideals of the town of Elmont, my supportive parents and my dedicated teachers" for her success. She has until May 1 to make her decision.
