Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, the New York high school student who was accepted into all eight Ivies, has chosen a college. According to Time, she was seeking a college that would allow her to combine her scientific interests, which include environmental science and biochemistry. At her school's decision day celebration, she revealed that she will be attending Harvard College in the Fall of 2016.
Uwamanzu-Nna told CNN that Harvard's dedication to excellence stood out to her. She was also drawn to the school because of its strong Nigerian presence.
Uwamanzu-Nna is the second student from Elmont in consecutive years to be accepted to all eight Ivy League schools. Harold Ekeh, of Elmont's class of 2015, chose to attend Yale.
